Although cheap this saw has proven very useful especially in steep terrain situations. Oil feed and effective sealing of the air filter are issues with this brand, but are fairly easily resolved, while the rest of the saw has performed extremely well. Easy starting, easy handling, and the price means the saw is expendable. You can drop and run rather than being more concerned for the saw's welfare than your own !

Broke way to easy can’t do chain up properly as plastic cover cracked and if could chain just good to cut one or two branches down before chain comes off

  • Good value for the price for the casual user.

The saw does everything my Euro saws do,i have this 38 cc Baumr and 2 similar Yukon models a 52 cc with a 20 inch bar and a 58 cc with a 24 inch bar, i have 3 Stihl saws a Solo and a Husquarna, iam a retired National Park Senior Officer that has been using Chainsaws for 50 years, my Euro Saws have served me well and are long lasting, i have only had my Asian made saws for between 7 years and 12 months, i question some of their claimed power ratings but for the home handyman who only cuts firewood a few times a year these Baumr and Yukon saws are great value for money. Most come with a warranty so if your disappointed then send it back and spend $500 more for a Stihl or Husky, except for the quality of the chain i doubt the average user would notice the difference.

  • Good value small saw.

This is a great little saw! I bought it for my wife to tidy up a bush block and cut wood for the stove. It gets a run most winter evenings. The spring recoil pull and 2 stage choke means that it starts reliably for her every time. The weight and handle placement gives good safe control for a small saw. Power is quite adequate to saw up to 30cm logs with the 16" bar. We have used an earlier model of this 38cc Baumr saw for several years and it is still going well.

  • Great value little saw

Great little saw at an excellent price, we use it for cutting firewood while caravanning, so couldn't really justify spending heaps on a known brand. Have only had it a couple of weeks, but it is working like a charm, easy to start and up to the task so far, will see how long it lasts.

Worked first go. A bit difficult to close the chain housing in the correct position and to set the chain tension - it took about 5 attempts to finally get everything set properly. It did the job it was purchased for.

  • Great Little Chainsaw

This the third Baumt-AG chainsaw I have bought. I keep buying them because they are excellent chainsaws. They start easily and keep going. They are also very cheap.

  • Well worth looking at.

The saw is good value for the price. I chose the 16 inch because it allows me to use parts from a Shyndaiwa which died.

  • Great value

Quoted $1500 to remove a tree, did it myself for under $200 including a couple of new chains. If it dies tomorrow I'm still well over $1000 ahead. That said it is a bit plasticy and is not a professional tool.
