    A nostalgic old cookbook in good shape

    It’s a book I got as a wedding gift. After many years of constant use it got lost in a move. It feels good to have an old friend back even though I don’t use it much.

    Worth The Condition It Was In

    I pondered whether or not to purchase this book, due to the usual wear and tear on a previously owned item. However, this cookbook is very nostalgic for me. I have the very same cookbook that belonged to my deceased mom, minus the "most important" family recipe that my mom was neighborhood and family famous for. I had to have the book to retrieve the recipe. Oh, the memories I enjoy as I looked through the book; i'm still smiling. The memories made purchasing this cookbook worth the condition it was in.

    Best basic cookbook ever!

    I've used this cookbook all my life; I taught myself to cook using this book. It has easy to follow instructions, easy to obtain ingredients, and the recipes are wonderful. If you follow the easy instructions you will be able to bake yeast bread from scratch very easily. And baking bread has been difficult for many good cooks. This cookbook makes it easy--just be sure your yeast is fresh! My kids all have a copy of this cookbook.

    Just like Grandma’s!

    I bought this cookbook for my granddaughter who is getting ready to go away to college. She asked me for all of my recipes and I realized most of them came from this cookbook that my Grandmother gave me when I got married 40+ yrs ago. This one is in great shape (much better than mine) I’m excited to give it to her for Christmas with all our family’s favorites highlighted. Thank you.

    Great cookbook in a 5 ring binder!

    This cookbook has been in our family since I was young, and it's the best! My kids always say "Betty Knows!" and it's true. There are some dated recipes for sure, but it's a go-to for all the basics. I picked this up as a wedding gift for a young couple, since with the internet making every recipe available at a click, it's the only actual cookbook you really need (in my humble opinion). I was delighted to find a clean copy with the 5 ring binder!
