This is my second DeLonghi EC820. In my opinion the best of its type on the market. I would not be without one.. Makes excellent Cappuccino, Latte, etc plus the best crema ever. Very easy to use

This DeLonghi makes a good cup of espresso and it quickly comes up to temperature so you don't have long to wait. The milk steamer is also efficient and produces a good strong steam jet. The coffee holder is solid and well made and the hydraulics seem good. However, the quality of this Chinese made machine leaves a lot to be desired. The knobs are silver coated plastic, and one of them arrived already scratched, and the overall machine exterior isn't very robust. The top which is handily designed as a cup warmer is made of a steel alloy which marks easily and the shiny rear section behind the coffee dispenser is also coated plastic so may wear easily. In summary it's OK but pricey for the overall quality

I have always liked proper coffee but just as a casual consumer, not as an expert or afficionado. My previous machine was an Ariete bought years ago from Aldi but it was getting a bit tired and needed new seals. I decided to go back to De'Longhi as I had had several of their products in the past including my first espresso machine. The EC820 is perhaps not everyone's choice for the most stylish but I love its over-the-top brashness and it suits my kitchen. It also has a reasonable reservoir capacity and a very comfortable and weighty portafilter with two basket sizes (although I rarely use the small one). The tamper is a let-down but I knew that before I bought it. Fortunately I have a lathe and made my own (I enjoyed it and saved money). Lastly, it makes really nice coffee and froths milk beautifully. Expert might claim differently but then they will pay several time what I payed for only a slight improvement in flavour. Enjoy.Read full review

I really believe this is an excellent machine in its price range. It has a rather quirky user system to ensure the water is not too hot for the coffee but once you get used to it is easy to use and makes for better (not scalded) coffee. We use this machine with the De Longhi coffee grinder. The combination produces coffee as good as much more expensive "Bean to Cup" machines.

This machine makes nice coffee and is easy to use. One down side is the bit to froth the milk not long enough for some jars. But if you use a 300ml jar it won't be a problem.

Simply the best machine I have owned so much so that I have just bought one for use in my holiday home. I have owned a Rancilio and it wasn't as good as the De Longhi.

Leaks within 6 months of use but isn't a massive problem as most of the leak is contained within the drip tray. Beyond that, sit the whole thing on another tray and you're laughing.

Like the expresso coffee - You can select the strength - and the milk frother device. A Godsend to run the airBnB.
