Replaced my 10 year old one
Best battery operated vac for the money I have used so far. Only downside is the rechargeable battery's capacity and life. I bought extra batteries, and as I generally only need it for 5 to 10 minutes of cleanup a day (between major bimonthly whole house cleanings), it does the job quite nicely. Powerful enough to clean both bare floors and short pile carpets, it makes short work of seed hulls and feathers/down beneath our parrots habitat. Easy trapdoor no touch canister emptying and only one foam filter to clean. Floor head separates at push of a button for occasional jammed material removal, and all the parts subject to wear are available for replacement. This is my second LINX. Love the powerful suction and that it easily switches from picking up from hard surfaces to rugs and carpets.. So easy to use and clean. Best to have two batteries so that when one runs out, the other is ready. Takes approximately 3 hours for battery to charge; don't over-charge.
