This phone is serving the purpose I bought it for very well. Namely, that was to function reliably and not get broken into bits and pieces because I am fairly rough on my phones. It is surprisingly light and fits nicely in my hand. The battery lasts me about a day and a half and I usually am on facebook, snapchat etc throughout the day. The only problem is that sometimes it gets a bit laggy but 9 times out of 10 this can be remedied by exiting out of other apps or powering down and rewaking it. Spotify works great on it when I'm in the gym and it actually gets a little better service than my previous phone, a Lumia 830. Overall this phone fits the bill for what I needed and I could only be slightly happier with it. And for a fifty dollar phone (Ebay) this is a killer deal. Of course it gets some laughs from those with the most current phones, but if I had one of those it would've been cracked already or water-damaged from the river after 2 months of ownership. If you need a tough phone that keeps up with your lifestyle, this is the one for you.Read full review

This is honestly the worst device I've ever used. The battery runs out and I have to fully charge it twice a day, and I hardly use the phone... And I hardly use it because it freezes up every time I want to use it. It shuts down when I type only a small paragraph on Messenger, and I lose the text I was typing. It freezes or crashes when I have only one app behind used. It goes so slow or freezers so long that I end up having to remove the battery and putting it back in, in order to start back over and continue to use the phone again. It's really terrible. Please don't waste your money and your time getting this phone.

I read some reviews and decided that a more ruggedly cased phone was better for me and the type of work that I do for a living. I deliver mail and at times I do like to keep in touch with the World and my Family during the day. I decided to buy the Samsung Galaxy Rugby phone for it's rugged looks and the fact that it is waterproof (just in case it rains on me, but I do NOT plan to dive under water like one of the Idiots who wrote a review and was unhappy because he ruined it under water!!!) Although it is an older gen phone, I immediately did an upgrade through my carrier which allowed me to use the latest features of the Android apps. The ease of use is Fantastic and the super amoiled display makes for a very clean look. If you aren't too concerned about the latest and newest phones ( I have to keep up with the Joneses, NOT!!), and you would rather not up your contract and save money $$$$$ by buying a year or two old phone, then I highly recommend doing what I did and buy this phone! I am very pleased and would like to buy another one to put away!!!!Read full review
This is my first smart phone. My last phone was a Rugby II flip phone, so this is a huge change for me. Standby battery time with this phone is about 9 days shorter than with my flip phone, so figuring out how to stop applications from running when not in use is very important, as well as plugging it up to a charger every night. It is very durable. I purchased a light-colored silicone case for it, as I felt the shock absorption feature would be needed, especially at the corners, and to increase its visibility while in my purse. We are using Net10/Tracfone as our service provider while away from home, and call quality and internet speeds are equivalent to our AT&T service for our other phones (which will end next month.) We use Comcast Cable for internet access at home, and are satisfied with the performance here, as well. The phones are faster than the computers when searching the internet, as long as we mind those apps. I really like having the camera flash, (flip phone did not have one) and that the phone automatically helps me take good pictures. I am blessed to have a spouse who likes to tinker with electronics, so he set up the most-used icons (weather, camera, photo gallery) on my home screen for me. I certainly recommend having someone do this for you (at the point of purchase or a family member), as this is a lot to get used to, until you get comfortable with the phone.Read full review
Exactly what it is advertised to be - a solidly made phone, unlocked, just pop in your SIM card and use it. I bought 2, so that I won't have to change to a new, lower quality phone, when one inevitably needs to be replaced. I might buy more for my family - that's what a great value this is! As an older, non-techie, I love anything that works the way is should right out of the box.
