After waiting 2 Months in Australia for the Google Nexus 4 to reappear on Google Play, I lost patience and bought the Nexus 4 off of ebay, at 25% more than the Google Play recommended retail. The phone itself is pretty good - as some reviews have reported, it does heat up a fair bit, and it has locked up a couple of times over night, stopping the alarm going off on one occasion - very annoying. I searched the web, and others reported that it may have been the version of jelly Bean that I was running, or some a rogue application ... a new version of Jelly Bean has been uploaded and I have unloaded some of the applications which may/may not have been causing the problem. In any case, I now try to reboot the phone once a week - and I do not seem to be experiencing the same problem. The screen is big and bright. I like the form factor better than the iPhone 5 and device seems more grown up to me than the Samsung Galaxy SIII, not to mention a lot cheaper. One of the disadvantages which has been discussed in many reviews is the lack of LTE ... but to be honest, I don't tend to surf the web too much away from my home network, and when I do surf the web, it seems pretty quick. I bought the diztronic soft case which fits the phone perfectly - it doesn't seem to have any of the problems which were reported with the case originally. I still need to get a screen protector ... tried to buy one online, but they wouldn't ship internationally. I suspect I should be able to pick one up locally in Australia now that the phone is back in Google Play and a couple of local retailers. Would I buy the product again ... at the RRP of $399 in Australia, absolutely, there is nothing that you can buy outright which currently compares to it.Read full review
Greatest phone I have ever used, I also have an iphone 5 and have used s4, this might not have a full HD screen being 1280x768 but very good for a phone, the biggest selling point apart from the low low price is no bloatware, and being android I can do whatever I need too, easily. Instant updates from google too, no vendor lag. Only one downside is no LTE, but HSDPA+ is good enough. at 42Mbps Theoretical Max.
Nexus 5 is an excellent phone, except for the camera and battery. But being able to summarize all its downfalls into those two makes it almost perfect, especially when looking at the price tag, build quality, light weight, and simple design. But what makes it beat other phones is the beautifully smooth Vanilla Android
Great product, no frills smart phone with great performance. Simple design, good sized phone with decent battery life. Great camera. The Google launcher is great a program for creating ease of use for your phone.
Latest version of Android at all times. NFC, wireless charging, clean design. Beautiful screen. Software is as smooth as butter. Freedom to use any GSM carrier. Great value for money. This is the best phone I have ever owned.
Beautiful and stylish Fast, powerful and responsive Jelly Bean! Pure android phone Excellent call quality and reception Decent camera short battery life but can increase by turning off wifi, 3g, bluetooth, backlight, etc.
Its a great phone for the price, very fast and heaps of features. Android 4.2 is very easy to use and intuitive. Great bargain. This is probably one of the best phones of its generation.
One of the best value for money phones you can get. Great screen, snappy, good overall feel and the vanilla android OS is great to use. The battery could be better but it's a great improvement from my old Samsung Galaxy S so I really can't complain.
it is a good phone worth roughly $370. Looking forward to Nexus 5. same problem of battery life as the others.
I had this phone already (from 2013) so I got the same for my husband and son. Why anyone would need anymore than this mobile phone, I have no idea.
