I wanted a uke I could throw in the back of the car and not worry about how it would stand up to it. The high pressure laminate body and the laminated neck make it pretty well indestructible, and it still looks and sounds decent. The fact that it looks a lot like and old Martin is a plus. Easy to change the strings. Not crazy about the friction tuning pegs. Hard to get in tune. You have to tighten the screws quite a bit for them to stay in place and they are hard to turn. The part you grab and turn is large which is good for leverage, but there is not enough space between them for easy turning. There is weird placement of the tuning pegs so that if you wind the strings around them like most ukes they interfere with each other. You have to stick with Martin's odd pattern. I like it though. Small, loud, musical, and tough as nails.Read full review

I received this Ike and was immediately struck by how small it is. It must be for children. Oh well.
