Not much cop, but there's nothing any better
These couplings were not designed well, the hook has a tendency to drop. off and unless glued in place the whole coupling occasionally becomes detached from the vehicle they are fitted to. They are, however, all that is available as a direct replacement for Airfix (GMR) and some older Dapol & Bachmann model railway items, without modification. These are probably the main reasons why replacement couplings are needed. With careful handling and installation though, a DROP of glue to hold the coupling in place and use with care & respect, they will do the job. THIS IS NOT A SUPPLIER FAULT, this is a problem with the original design.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great budget couplings - They work well and are good value for money.
I nearly always use these for my 3D-printed wagons. Occasionally the hook can be a little stiff, but working it back and forth with a tiny bit of lubrication seems to do the trick. As long as I get the mounting height correct they seem to couple and uncouple nicely. For the price, the quality fits the bill.
