    Good buy for the price

Works well, even inside a shed 20m away from the modem it’s connect to, though that’s using 2.4 ghz, due to higher frequency (wavelengths) the 5 ghz channel has much reduced connection, but closer to the modem is fine. Something to be aware of if you need to use 5 ghz. Looks good, can be displayed upright or flat as needed. Only issue I had was a drama to connect, much harder than any previous extender I’d used. Seems that windows 10s inbuilt network manager does not like to connect it. Kept throwing up a network change error and refusing to detect the IP address for the netgear. Eventually had to ignore the Instruction manual, open a web browser (after connecting to the netgear via wifi) and entering the 192.168.1.250 ip address to manually open its menu. After that set up was a breeze, though note you will likely end up at the end of setup with a screen saying “timed out, took to long to connect to 192.168.1.250). Just close the window, enter your wifi menu on your pc or device and select the netgear again using the new menu name that was created during setup. All good to go from there. Overall netgear setup itself was easy, it’s just that Windows 10 has issues. Also note this is an old school extender, not a new fancy mesh extender so be mindful if you want to connect a lot of things through it, there’re limits

    Never worked as it should

The EX6200 extender WPS feature did not work to connect with my existing WPS enabled router. Very complex to get the extender to connect, had to reload the firmware, do a hard reset, connect the extender with an ethernet cable direct to the router to set up and then the extender was unreliable when providing a wifi enabled internet connection even when placed in close proximity to the wireless router. I found this extender to be to complex for an average person to set up and then the connection was not reliable. I recommend TPLink, cheaper, just as good and easy to setup.

  • Extender Great For Granny Flat

I am NOT a tech savvy person, and it took me a while to set up. The instructions were relatively clear, just me perhaps. The wifi extender does exactly what I want it to do, which is allow wifi to be used in the granny flat at the back of my house (on the same block of land as our house) through the wifi in our house. There were cheaper extenders but I was hoping by paying a bit more I would get a better product. Not always so, but in this case, glad I did.

  • Increased my wifi strength dramatically.

This Netgear dual band extender totally fixed the problems I was having with poor or no signal at the rear of my house / outside. Fantastic product!

  • Very easy to set up

I had it installed and running within about 10 minutes. Am using it to extend the internet from my house router into the shed which is detached from the house where I could never get the wifi on my phone. This extender picks up the house wifi no problems and extends it fine in the shed. It is so powerful I can actually connect to it from the house. Very happy with the purchase.

  • Netgear EX6200 is superb

We have moved to a "Granny Flat" built next to the main house and could not connect through the modem in the back of the main house. With the Netgear EX6200 we can now connect computers , iphone and iPads through walls and brick veneer over at least 30 metres. Connection rates "Good" on Netgear Genie and we see no degradation of speed. Connecting the Extender was easy and after two weeks shows no sign of trouble. A great product.

  • Great unit, little tricky to set up for the amateur

An excellent unit for setting up an access point on the other end of my house, my advice to those setting this unit up is to plug one end of the unit's Ethernet port to your PC and another to the main modem/router. Otherwise set up is a breeze after that.

  • Works very well - the display lights are very faint

Refurb unit - as new only reason it does not get 5 stars is that the display icons on the case are almost impossible to see in normal room lighting. Made it tricky to set up as you need to see these.

  • ** Good range, speed and vertatility.

Reaches the studio no worries, it's about 25-30 metres from the EX6200 and about 12 metres back to the modem. I've set it up on max. range mode. I'm not a gamer, but it work well under normal use with multiple devices.

  • Works Great!

Have had problems getting WiFi signal strength throughout our house which is a 3 level house. Tried a Netgear WN300 but still insufficient strength. Once I installed the Netgear AC1200, signal strength improved all through the house, even outside. Happy Chappy :-))
