Easy Breezy Electric Can Opener
I love this can opener so much that I bought a second one as a gift for my mom. I knew I need to replace my old electric can opener when it broke but couldn't decide what I wanted so I said nevermind I don't really need it. But as age starting to creep up on me I was like wow I need an electric can opener. After much research I came upon this very nice looking black electric can opener. The color went with my decor and I was truly sold when it said it was designed for tall cans as well. Does not work well.
The lever is thin plastic despite being painted silver so it will break easily. I have to take all can labels off before I attempt to open any can or it won't work. Nice, modern looking can opener. Takes up very little counter space. LOVE that the cutting edge is easy to remove, for cleaning. Simply to operate. I actually bought this as a Halloween gift for my 7 year old granddaughter, because her parents prefer using a manual, hand held can opener. She loves using my electric one, so now, she can use her own, at home. Yup, I know it's a goofy gift, but it is practical and she doesn't need more candy. Very sturdy and powerful! I really like the revomable blade for cleaning. The only REAL issue I have is that the drive gear tends to shred the paper label at the top of the can and the schrapnel ends up IN the can and on the countertop. Fortunately, I solved this by simply tearing the label off BEFORE opening the can. Also, I removed the magnetic lid holder so the lid doesn't get in the way when pulling the opened can away. This also allows me to use the loose lid to drain the unwanted juice/water out of the can. Overall a VERY good product! I recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Believe it or not it is hard to find a good, automatic can opener. I don't know if it is the cheesy cans that they are making or the quality of the openers. Manual openers seem to suffer the same problems, and for many of us they are not the easiest to use. Well, this one is worth every penny! It opens flawlessly and as a bonus it is easy to clean.
