I have owned Ryobi products for many years, drills, grinders, saws etc. I must say, I have never had a problem with any of them so when I found the Ryobi chainsaw on ebay I thought the price was reasonable if only the product was as good as previously owned Ryobi products. The one I bought was previously owned so that is a big question as to how well it was serviced. I took it apart, cleaned and checked everything and could find nothing wrong so after filling with oil and gas mix 40:1 I pulled the starter cord a number of times to prevent a dry start. After turning the switch on and purging the air from the carb I pulled the cord 1 time and it fired and died, opened the choke half way and pulled the cord again and this time it sounded like a perfectly tuned little saw. I can not complain about this saw and the way it runs, it does seem a little under powered after using the Husqvarna 51 with 18" bar. I think the Ryobi needs a 16 or 18" instead of the 20. I recommend it for light work but for every day wood cutting go with something built a little stronger.Read full review

Works like a champ, starts right up every time! Lots of power! I use it with my grandberg chainsaw mill with no problem

Great chainsaw especially for the price. Good instructions. Love the carry case. Does have issue with vapor lock when trying to restart when hot. Only way I can restart is to prime 20-40x to clear vapor.

Easy to use Weak force Faced a problem in the installation of Saw The price of the item is not suitable
The Remington saw is a saw being marketed by MTD through the Remington brand and also Craftsman. They have good points and bad. The good things are: Starts easy and reliably. It has fair power although this 46cc should have an 18 inch bar on it. They are well balanced with enough weight to pull into the tree you are cutting. The bad things are: they don`t put out enough oil onto the bar. Even after turning the oiler up to Maximum it can`t keep up. They tend to leak oil and even gas sometimes. Made in Mexico.
