There are a few reasons to get a Hario scale over other 0.1g accuracy scales, especially if you're making pourover coffee. The first is that the scale includes a timer, which is very convenient for pourover, since time is an important variable. Secondly, the weighing plate is flat to the edge and extends a little over the body of the unit. This makes it possible, for example, to use it underneath the Hario Olive-wood V60 pourover set. It also means any dripping or spillage won't end up in the body of the scales. They're easy to use and accurate, which is of course important, but anything over $40 will work similarly. Lastly, they have an attractive, minimal design which is nice if you plan on leaving your pourover setup out as a display piece when you're not using it (and Hario glass stuff is beautiful, so you probably will).Read full review
