Must have upgrade
Hate that KitchenAid doesn’t include this premium dough hook with the stand mixer. But this stainless steel one is not only beautiful but functional, since you just pop it in the dishwasher to clean. Weighted paddle or dough hook makes tge bowl feel sturdier
I am very pleased with my new Kitchen Aid mixer parts - I had the old accessories that were light metal covered with plastic; these are much heavier and fit my 1990 (appro) mixer perfectly. They feel secure, and turn perfectly in the bowl. It is dense, heavy and with a strudy steel construction. Using it with the 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid. It works excellent but always has minimal residual dry flour at the base. You can correcte it by pressing the dough to the base of the bowl and re-kneading for a few more seconds. If you have a larger bowl then you may have to repeat this step.
