When you need the extra muscle to move your trailer, caravan, camper, horse float, boat or anything else that uses a jockey wheel then you need the Maxi-Pro 12V Electric Motorised Jockey Wheel. The jockey wheel is capable of moving up to 2722kg's (6000lbs) on an inline of up to 7 degrees. With both forward and reverse, a wide (8cm) heavy duty rubber wheel and an automatic braking system moving your trailer around becomes a breeze. With a special jockey wheel locking system this means that once locked no-one can remove the jockey wheel without a key. The unit is supplied with 4 keys, so you'll always have one to hand! The unit needs to be powered by a 12V DC battery with a minimum size of 24Ah (not included). Jockey wheel can be used.

Our van is 1750kg and this product moves the van easily on the flat. We have a 8 degree incline on the drive and although slow and a little bit of wheel spin it does push up the driveway. Had to put some weight on the front of the van to stop wheel spin. Only had one try though but think it will be fine with a bit of trial and error. It's pretty well made and happy with the product $300 compared to over a thousand to two thousand is a no brainer.

Good removed by disappointing and incorrect part as to make dangerous.
The only reason for not giving this product full credit is that clamps to us provided for the jockey wheel do not match those shown in the advertising pictures. The clasps provided ended up being identified as much less strength than required and could be dangerous when those crumpled or distorted under weight, particularly where the professed capacity is up to 2700kg. It is considered the manufacturer should have or would have known this and should have supplied the correct stronger clamp as displayed in the advertising pictures. Otherwise the device is quite good and fairly soundly made. On identifying the problem and experiencing some damage we replaced the clamp with a proper clamp which was inexpensive and totally adequate for the job.

A few design issue's but works well.
I have had mine for about two and a half years. And use it regularly I have had a couple of problems at the beginning one like someone else wrote the receiving tube that takes the handle broke when trying to turn left or right luckily there is enough tube left to still put some of the handle in I cut my handle down so only have a strait piece coming out about 350mm long and steer it with my foot and have taken the cable out of the remaining handle up to the forward reverse buttons much better. Secondly the clamp is more than useless far to weak I replaced it with a double length clamp now the jockey wheel does not move at all as before it was pivoting backwards and forwards when it was moving. Apart from that it is very good my van is 2 ton

Easy as
This awesome device allows me to move my boat and trailer, when off the tow vehicle, meaning that I no longer need to back down my narrow driveway. I use an emergency cranking battery to drive it. It's easy to operate even on loose stones, as I just place strips of plywood down,so that the wheel dosnt sink.

Fair price and works ok but no good on damp or wet soft ground which is explained in advertisement .so value for money ok !! ,mounting clamp could be stronger .
