Fits Great in 1967 -1972 GM Trucks

Fits perfect under seat of 1967 to 1972 C10 and C20 trucks. These trucks have little room, to this is a reasonable solution unless you want to relocate the gas tank. Does clear the seat adjustment cable and will mount front to back or side to side. Not a kicker, but if you only have 6.5" speakers, will add the missing lows nicely. I'd compare it to the bass expected from 6x9 speakers, maybe a little lower. Quality is about the same as most of them. These are all made in China, and this style is made in the same China factory. The difference is the CV uses a 2-ohm speaker for twice as much punch as the other brands. I mounted it under the passenger seat and put the bass level knob on the transmission tunnel. With the knob in this location, it is out of view, but easy to reach. Power wire is 12 AWG GXL, coming from an auxiliary fuse block mounted next to the original. Radio is a low grade brand that I won't mention. Front speakers are Pioneer 3-way, A-series mounted in ABS kick panels. System sounds just fine for a truck. Hope this helps you guys. Keep on Truckin'!!!

Gets hot as the devil and goes into protect mode

Disappointing... Sounded real nice for the size, unfortunately after adjusting properly- jammed for about half hour and went right into protection mode. Hot enough to cook on. Was wired with generously large quality ofc copper wire, Kenwood excelon head unit and quality RCA'S. Don't buy this if you enjoy listening loud, longer than a half hour or so, or if your vehicle burning up concerns you! Unit I received (brand new) was absolute disappointing garbage, waste of time installing and taking back out. Just glad I tested within time frame to return it as it was intended for another vehicle in the future after other work is completed. Too bad really, because it did have rather impressive sound for the short listening time it allowed! Still, half hour and uncomfortably hot to touch is pretty pitiful. Save yourself the disappointment, buy a real amp and custom build a small box to fit your application if space is the problem like I am up against. The effort will be much more satisfactory than this joke of a product. And you won't be risking your vehicle going up in flames either!

  • CV compact 10" sub - it's alright but not much more than that

Put in my sons Jeep Wrangler, added some low end to tunes but it quickly gets distorted the louder you raise it. A little more than halfway on a stock head unit was all it can take with the proper input level set using an RCA adapter. Would be decent in a small cabin.

  • It's a little too quiet for my minivan but I think it would be perfect for the cab of a truck!

I put it in my van because I have always loved the Cerwin Vega brand and I think I was just asking a little too much for a speaker this compact and small! I am sure this would be perfect for the cab of a truck.

  • Great for small spaces and give out awesome sound, not so great for large cabin spaces.

I purchase one of these used back in 2018 from a guy that bought it new for his truck (quad cab), and it didn't produce the sound he wanted. The main reason for me purchasing it was because my truck is a 2 door single cab GMC, and there is no room for a standard set up of sub boxes, amps, etc not without putting myself into my steering wheel. I had it installed, professionally, and when all was said and done, The installer looked at me and said "That is the best sound I've heard coming out of one these trucks without sacrificing too much space in a very long time!" I have to agree, it thumps! So much so, I just purchased a second one to add to my truck with the other one I already have. I also like the fact that I can feel and hear the bass really well inside, but outside of the truck it's not at all overwhelming or loud enough where cops will pull over for it. The down side to these is they don't sound very well in a really large cabin space.

  • Awsome Soud for a Corvette

First and foremost this will not fit under the seat of a 1982 Corvette, but then again no woofer of any kind will fit in a 1/4" space. This mounted in the rear with the 6" x 9" speakers. I put it in temporarily because I will be redoing the interior this winter. After hooking up the system and fine tuning the frequency ranges and power setting.... this Cerwin Vega 10' VPAS10 kicks! Not what you want for Hip Hop in a van, but clean and loud lows in the small area of the Vette. I listen to all types of music (I play in a cover band) and this handles it all with finesse. Hope this helps. Perfect for what I need and like! I do love the bass. Also included photos of front speakers (none on the rear 6x9s the covers are a pain to get back on). They are Cerwin Vega as well.

  • Good down to 35 Hz

Installed this in my son's new car under the passenger seat. Filled in all of the lows nicely so thst I could turn down the bass on the factory speakers - no more distortion! Strong enough to overpower a factory system, once you take the time to blend it in you will be happy. My son has since moved on to a bigger, more powerful sub, but this unit will now have a home in my wife's vehicle. Perfect for when I drive it.

  • Fits behind the back seat f150

Compact yet has a good sound. The deep lows are lacking but all shallow subs suffer that. I have had no issues whatsoever and have played it long and loud! Very satisfied purchase.

  • Great Sub if you don't have room!

Ok, this sub is really worth the money. When I first got it, I installed it using the high input using the existing speaker wires. Could not get a lot of volume oit of it. I installed a line out converter today and it is amazing. Much more volume than before. Good bass and fits behind my seat. Do yourself a favor and install a line out converter with this sub. You will be pleasantly surprised!
