The only way to make fresh pasta!
This is a great set of tools. I was surprised to see they are made in Italy. I made a big batch of spaghetti in about 20 minutes, not counting the 20 minutes I had to rest the dough. I didn't even make a mess. Then I rolled out sheets to make ravioli. I was able to roll them out paper thin. Alot of work, and sort of cumbersome/heavy!
This isn't easy to use BUT most definitely a better buy through this company! I did have to buy it 3 times because the first two had issues. One was received broken...(inside plastic teeth were in two pieces) and the other one of the attachements didn't fit the way it was supposed to resulting in a continueous "spin". The thrid one works great. It's a project to make the dough, flatten it out several time, and then create the pasta. Now I understand why we just buy it in stores. Either way though, it is effective when you want to make it special. Also, the pasta tastes so FRESH! I wouldn't buy this set though for full price! Pasta Please
I was able to use the attachments with no problems. It wasn't all that easy for me to make pasta though. It does take some practice. After a bit of experimentation I was able to get the job done though. MY homemade pasta may not look as good as the packaged stuff. At least the pasta that I make. But it tastes great ! Ignore the pasta recipe...it does NOT work.
The product is terrific, but the pasta recipe included in the product operation manual is the pits. Not nearly enough moisture. I agree with the above review. The dough is way too firm and very difficult to feed thru the rollers. I use 5 cups flour, 2 eggs and one-half cup water, and that works just fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great help when making pasta!!!!!
If you love pasta, and someone thinks he is going to make it often, this is a great add on to the already wonderful KitchenAid mixer. Highly recommended. It is pricey. Makes kneeding/rolling dough so much easier and the cutters do a great job, especially if one is like me and has a difficulty cutting a straight line.
