I needed hex shanked drill bits to use in my angled drill bit holder, so I could drill in tight spaces. These work perfectly. Although not perfectly in line with the shank, it doesn't really matter because there is plenty of slack in my drill bit holder, so that once the bit has a bite it will just keep going in straight. I haven't used them on anything other than wood yet, so I don't know how durable they are, but are very sharp.

It is not totally fair to say the set of drill bits is not of good quality The drill bits themselves are of good quality and cut into work piece readily. The drill axis are found to be accurately centred For the money it is a good buy covering a whole range of sizes However, smaller diameter drills bits could loose grip within the hex shank easily when they are used for drilling deep holes in wood or thin metal regardless them being soft or hard. That is because underneath the stamped in keying feature on the hex shank, the drill shafts do not have corresponding flat face to provide proper clamping to prevent it from turning. Unfortunately it is a rather common fault found with this type of drill sets and I am yet to come across a set that has proper D flat structure on the shafts of smaller drills within the hex shanks. I would rate it at 7 out of 10 Read full review

Very useful when using a cordless screwdriver because they are the same chuck size and the set contains 13 sizes covering most sizes of pilot holes for screws The price of the set is superb value, you can pay nearly as much for 1 item.

Small drill bits are very useful for small projects. I used them for attaching accessories to my wooden working table. It is quite time-saving to do the drilling and the screwing with just one tool.

Bought to be useful for fitting in magnetic driver bit holder. Work OK but when you take bits away from the material being cut, the bit comes out of the holder! Not a fault with the drill set, but something I didn't consider before buying! Thought it would be easier than opening and closing the chuck every time -- NO!
