    Loved watching The Ten Commandments on DVD

    Since we were both kids, my wifey and I have always loved watching The Ten Commandments on TV every year, and now we finally own it on DVD. This specific DVD played beautifully and didn't have any scratches since it was brand new in a box. The movie was also digitally mastered and shown on Widescreen and we both really liked that.

    Somewhat disappointing.

    Charlton Heston is not one of my favorite actors. He thought he really was Moses! Also, if you read "EXODUS" in the Bible, the movie leaves a lot of gaps in the real story in the Bible.

    Truly shows us the glory of Egypt.

    This restored version of Cecil B. DeMill's The Ten Commandments is stunningly beautiful. Great research was done to produce authentic costumes and scenery design. The special effects still hold up pretty well, the acting is top notch, and even though it's an older style of film making, it is so reverential to the Bible story you wouldn't want it any other way. This is a great DVD because there is commentary on the making of the film by a researcher who worked with the producer.

    Everyone needs to see this movie at least once.

    This is a true story right from the Bible about how God brought His Chosen People back to their land from slavery in Egypt. Everyone should see this if only once. It was done with such amazing grace and respect by the producers, directors, and the wonderful acting of Charleton Heston, Yul Brenner and John Derek. It is priced well here on eBay with free shipping.

    AWESOME DIGITALLY ENHANCED VERSION TO PERSERVE THIS MASTERPIECE!

    I didn't see the Ten Commandments when it first hit the theaters. Later however when I was 6 years old this masterpiece of its time in 1956 was remaking its rounds frequently yearly especially on Christian religious holiday's. After seeing this film as a boy I was so inspired I went to the mountain hilltop above my house and played out Moses complete with my staff which was just a branch from a tree. In 2010 this marvelous classic was remastered to preserve the awe and the wonder of its original purity of color. Outstanding job.
