This is season five of the police drama classic "adam 12." One of the memorable episodes on this set features Edd Byrnes and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees. Titled "dirt duel," it features those two actors as motorcycle riding toughs who almost reluctantly end up helping Malloy and Reed arrest a ring of purse snatching motorbikers themselves. Stephen J Cannell wrote several episonds of this series. Adam 12 was a well written program. Martin Milner and Kent McCord were a perfect uniformed police officer duo. This is a series that continues to influence other TV series of today.
From the creative genius of Jack Webb, "Adam-12" was nothing less than stellar. Depicting the daily patrols of the streets of Los Angeles by L.A.P.D. officers, Malloy and Reed, it was the best action-drama to be produced. This show and Jack Webb's other superior project, "Emergency!" should be in the Television Hall of Fame.
