We chose this timber version hoping it would last longer than our rusty metal swing. We decided to use the metal stays attached to the bottom of poles to concrete the swing in place avoiding concrete covering the actual bottom of the poles in case of long-term rotting. These stays provided no stability at all. There was an uncomfortable‘sway’ in the structure, side to side, of approximately 15 cm. We employed tradesmen to again re-dig the holes bigger and concrete the poles into the ground and to use another 4 bolts (not supplied) to secure the poles into the concrete. Another 2 bolts (not supplied) were added to the top beam to stabilise the swing further. Although the information given assures the buyer that cracks in the poles are not a problem, the rough timber with splinters on the horizontal sections is not safe for the children .We would not buy this product again.
