    Must have!

If you have a spider amp, then this pedal is a must have. Being able to switch amp channels hands free is great and the wah/volume pedal is a whole lot of fun! I love that I can even adjust the effects tempo by tapping the switches. The tuner is pretty good too, seems just as accurate as my Snark clip on. The pedal has a really good build quality to it. Pretty robust, not cheap and flimsy at all. I have a Spider IV 15 and it works great. Also, if anyone is concerned about purchasing refurbished equipment. Both my amp and this pedal I purchased as "B stock" items on ebay at pretty good cost savings compared to new. I highly recommend these products to anyone looking. They both came straight from Line 6 and were factory refurbished/inspected. I have had zero problems and will continue to purchase items like this in the future from them.

    Sturdy pedal cannot work alone..

Too heavy for carrying around with the Bean that I bought it for. It takes its power from the bean, and can only be used with Line 6 Bean or the Spider Amp. Has a built in tuner, which is great.

  • Line 6 fbv mk2 express

Item was brand new as described. I had no problem just plugged into line 6 spider v . Figured it out in few minutes with out reading directions, very easy. Love the tuner appears on pedal board and amp . The wha pedal is good was surprised . Overall I would rate 7.5 or 8 out of 10 .

  • FDV Shortboard 1st Generation

This is the first generation model and not the one being currently sold. It came with no instructions. I searched the Line 6 site and did a Google search, and could not find that a manual ever existed. However, it's functionality is not too hard to figure out. It basically allows you to switch between the various pre-set sound effects using a foot switch rather than using a manual scrolling knob on the amp's face. There are four channels, A through D, that contain the various pre-set sound effects, like Memphis Blues, Metal Monster, etc.. What would have been helpful is to have been provided with a list of the contents of each of the channels. There are also foot switches for basic functions like Delay, Modulation, etc. A foot operated volume control is included on the board. The LCD display shows what effect is being used.

  • no-brainer intro addon for Spider Amps. just do it

Its a fun addon for my line 6 spider iv 150 amp. once you have this its pretty easy to update firmware and other stuff for pedal and your amp - just by using a household printer cable. its wah function seems to work as good if not better than a basic jim dunlop crybaby .

  • Amp control

This pedal is a great control for controlling the line 6 spider V amp. Too bad they are no longer in production because the amp just came out and it doesn't come with the option to buy this. That being said, I am grateful to have been able to purchase one. The pedal can be a wah pedal or a volume pedal. There is also a function switch to turn the looper on and off that built in the amp. It can change banks while having 4 available patches at once. It's a must have for spider V users in my opinion.

  • Everything I expected.

Really love the addition to my setup and makes using the amp so much more efficient and enjoyable. The built in tuner is handy as well. Makes changing presets (up to 4) a breeze, and I really enjoy being able to change the volume with the pedal. Definitely glad I purchased one.

  • A good pedal with enough controls

While hard-core programming the Spyders is far better accomplished with a computer (smartphone, at least), this pedal is EXCELLENT for performance with just enough switches to make it instantly useful, and the expression pedal covers 2/3 of what you'd look for in a pedal once configured properly. The list price is excessive, but heavily discounted, the price is well worth it.

  • More versatility

When I connected any type of pedal to my line 6 amp it always created a loud whine in the amp. But this board connects with a cat 5 cable and gives you 4 channels that set to the amp + a wah/volume pedal + a tuner. doesnt have a lot of bells and whistles. but you still have several options through the amp. Now I can change tones, volume, and have a wah without touching my guitar settings or my amp

  • FBV Express Mkii

The pedal was perfect. Functions just as it is supposed to. And like most Line 6 stuff it's built like a tank. And the cable is top quality and about 25 feet long. For using my little music room I use a shorter cable. But I'm saving the longer cable for when I take my spider 4 30 watt amp on stage it mike it up
