Good value, solid construction.
Does what it is designed to do without any issues. I used a Dremel to grind away the pin head first just to make it easy and I had heard of instances where people broke the die rod. That was on a 5mm pin. The plate press attachment works great and the riveter head too. Would be better if there were two indents for the back of the joiner plate to sit into just to assist in aliment but no big deal - take your time and check and double check everything is straight and square.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

All 3 functions work as expected
Quite expensive, but it's a solid, reliable and precise tool. I used it to shorten an ebike chain which does not have a master link, and actually had to use all 3 functions - break chain, rivet pin and press plate. The manual was quite clear, and without any previous experience I was able to fix the chain with satisfying results. What I didn't like: a) some parts of the brand new set were already rusty - this does not affect usability, but it's just not what you expect from the new & expensive tool; b) instead of providing the paper manual (which is just three pages long) they throw in an A4 piece of paper with a link to download the pdf. I know about saving the trees etc, but when I'm working in the garage, it's just not convenient to check the manual on the screen, I need a printout, and therefore I have to print the manual. I think at this price they could definitely print those 3 pages (literally 2 sheets of paper instead of one they used to provide the link) to save buyer some time and hassle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Waste of money
Doesn’t work at all cannot help press a chain link apart as it cannot straddle the link your try to remove wasn’t much better at pressing the joiner link on either as the press plate doesn’t fit a standard 530 motor cycle chain no instructions wasn’t helpful either after fishing for instructions on line I found it was useless at everythingVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
