The previous owner of my XJ-R had an aftermarket radio installed, and the installers simply butchered the installation. I was stuck with the aftermarket because the wiring harness had been hacked up so badly, it could not be repaired. The only thing to do was try to make it as nice of an installation as I could. This dash plate fit perfectly, is well made and looks like it belongs there. The aftermarket radio fit in it perfectly, and the installation was very easy. I found a beautiful 3-d leaping Jaguar emblem and mounted it directly above the radio in the empty space to finish out the installation.
The price of this dash plate is a little high, but I'm sure that it is because of limited demand, so I have no issue with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality, price and quick delivery time from this company.
I almost never leave reviews for stuff as it can just seem like a lot of noise when one is trying to decide what to purchase. Having said that, I am extremely pleased with the face plate I received. I can't speak for owners of all the Jaguar models listed in the product description, but this piece fit perfectly in my 2000 Jaguar XJ8. Build quality is good and the holes/tabs lined up perfectly with my car. The black finish appears similar enough to the black plastic used in the stock stereo. If you have one of these old Jaguars, you are probably already aware of the narrow range of options you have when trying to upgrade/update your stereo. This is an ideal solution that allows owners of a car just like mine to update to a modern single DIN head unit.
