I researched thoroughly before deciding to buy this printer for a home based business focusing on greeting cards and I am not disappointed! The set up was easy and quick. I also researched paper and can say my homework paid off as the glossy photo paper that came with this printer and the one I researched (Epson double sided premium presentation paper) has been fabulous and more than I could have hoped for! In fact, I will never have to pay to have a photo printed again at a retail location as I now have the ability to print them myself and they are fantastic! The only other remark I will make is that this is a heavy printer and takes up a good bit of space but all well worth it for the results I needed and received!

I bought this to replace an Epson 3880 I had that was burned up in a house fire. I am not back in my house yet and I don't have space for another monster like that at this time. It is perhaps unfair but I am comparing this printer to that one and the Epson Stylus printer I had before it. This printer came along at an extremely good price and it was highly recommended by a master photographer that I know. I have been using it for about three months now. It was somewhat difficult to setup on wireless, and I make my living as an IT guy! The interface is clunky and not intuitive. Based on my experience with setup and using the interface I had to take two stars off the rating. I am sure that I will get used to the clunkyness of it and it won't be a problem. The Epson was just such a well designed combination of software and machinery that I know how things can be. NOW having given all of the bad points I will add this. The print quality of this printer is astonishing. If you make good images you will never have reason to be ashamed of anything you print with this printer. From a quality perspective it rates 9.6 on a scale of 1-10! Would I buy this printer again? Without a doubt my answer is YES!Read full review

I bought this printer to primarily reproduce 8" x 10" limited edition prints of my artwork. I use Inkpress linen matte paper for most of my prints and the printer settings have various paper settings to accommodate different papers. Once the correct setting is selected for the proper paper the results are superb. The setup was easy with the included software. I did experience one small glitch while setting the printer up which resulted in doing the printer head alignment after the software installation, which I found quickly under printer settings/maintenance. This printer does an excellent job of printing digital photos without downloading additional drivers or calibrating. It is about time a printer out of the box is capable of this. I highly recommend this printer for photo and artwork printing. Canon has done a great job, it is a high quality printer - two thumbs up.Read full review

This printer is what I wanted for some of my larger paper crafting and stationary projects. It can print pages large enough to fill my Silhouette Machine Cutter 12" mat. The software is easily managed through my computer. I have done a deep cleaning and automatic printer head alignment with ease. What I especially like is its ability to pull 120lb cardstock through and it prints beautifully on it. I need heavier cardstock for some of my projects and the 120lb would solidly jam my older home use home use grade canon pixma (920?) that did not have a rear feed tray. This is a professional grade printer that handles my 120lb cardstock with no issues whatsoever. I have not tried using heavier cardstock than 120lb, so you will need to do more research on this printer if you need one that can handle anything heavier. 120lb cardstock is great if you are a card maker and want to print a sturdy, professional grade product, such as wedding invitations. This printer will get the job done! This printer uses 8 cartridges and I am getting prints that match much closer to the colors shown on my computer screen than I was with my old printer. I'm still keeping my older printer for copying and scanning, as the pixma pro does not have these functions to my knowledge. I am very pleased with the print quality. Do keep in mind that your choice of paper and its specific qualities will also affect the finished printed image quality.Read full review

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 is a awesome machine. I have worked with many different printers and this is one of the best. It is big so you will need to have a nice size area for it. The setup process took a little time but, was easy to follow. The print quality is awesome, and I tried a few different paper types (Office Max Inkjet, HP Inkjet and the Canon Inkjet papers) they all worked very well. It prints fast and is easy to use. The print software is also very user friendly. I have a design firm so we use it for an array if different projects. I'm very please with this machine!!! Gary
