Who Wants A Cheap Rhinoceros is by Shel Silverstein and it is a simple and very delightful book for children to enjoy. I skype with my 71/2 yr old Grandson and read books about his current favorite whatever, each week. Right now his favorite animal is the Rhino! I was reading this book to him and I began smiling then laughing. He was half listening~ at this time I don't believe he is as excited about this time we share as I am. When we skye I read the page and then show him the pictures. To involve him more I read the pages over and tried to show him the illustrations closer with the camera and then he became more involved and even laughed at some he thought were really silly. The illustrations are important to get the humor across. It would be better to read to a child in their company where they can see and hear at the same time and don't have other objects on the table next to the computer to be a distraction. I wish I could. I told Christopher that the author of this book, Mr. Silverstein, also wrote his favorite book: The Giving Tree which is a wonderful book EVERY child should have read to them and available for them to read when they can.
