The grinder works really well for both coffee beans and whole spices. It can be a little tough to get clean between grinding these without there still being some residual smell/powder though since it can't be properly washed. There is a smell of burning of grinding for more than about 10-20 seconds continuously, which is concerning. jusy in terms of grinding function though it works really well

I'd never ground my own coffee beans before, so I didn't know what to expect. This little machine is great! It's simple to use, doesn't make much noise, and clean up is easy! Very nice! I highly recommend it! A.Q. Lake

I bought it because it it white and the new ones all have a black finish, my husband prefers white for our kitchen appliances. We would have bought a new coffee grinder if any were available in white.

I don't mean to say that I've replaced 2 others. I mean that I now have three working grinders for different kitchen tasks and use them all regularly. A coffee bean grinder, a spice grinder and a mortar and pestle for things like nuts and coconut flakes to produce nut flours and such. Believe it or not, I bought my first one in 1996 at a Krups warehouse sale, and that one still grinds my coffee beans everyday. Love this little, well designed, clean kitchen accessory!

As lovely as to use and does as good a job as a $400 coffee/espresso grinder. Cheers
