Although she was born in 1982, the Angel Face Barbie doll hasn’t aged a bit through the years. This vintage doll lives up to her name with the big blue eyes, wavy blond hair, and rosy cheeks and demure smile that give her a sweet, angelic appearance. Dressed fashionably in a dress with a pink skirt and high-heeled shoes, a vintage lacy white top with puffy sleeves and a black belt to tie the look together, Angel Face Barbie doll looks ready for a party, afternoon tea, a date with Ken, or simply a day in the Barbie Dream House. The vintage-looking cameo choker brooch that’s attached at her neck is reminiscent of an earlier time period, yet is still a fashionable accessory for the Angel Face Barbie doll. As touted on her original packaging, Angel Face Barbie is “the doll who comes with her own Barbie makeup.” She carries that makeup in a pink plastic case, so it’s ready whenever she needs to refresh her eye shadow or blush. This vintage doll also comes with hair accessories. With a twist-and-turn waist and moveable arms and legs, the Angel Face Barbie doll moves fluidly for play. Angel Face Barbie stands 12.9 inches tall. She is intended for children ages 3 and up. Barbie dolls have remained hugely popular since the first one was introduced by Mattel in 1959. Since then, Barbies have kept up with the changing times, with trendy clothing and hairstyles, various accessories, and a range of eye, skin, and hair colors. Conceived by Ruth Handler more than 50 years ago, the original Barbie doll was named in honor of her young daughter, Barbara, who inspired Handler to create the doll. The Ken doll was named for Handler’s son. The VINTAGE 1982 "ANGEL FACE" BARBIE SUPERSTAR ERA DOLL was in perfect new condition. Our daughter had this Barbie doll when she was little. She lost it one day when she left it on the playground. She loved that doll and was heart broke when she lost it. My wife thought it would make a great Christmas surprise Christmas present.
