Tomahawk Pressure Sprayer
This item is poorly labeled and is not as it seems. The pressure rating is not accurate and does not deliver at the advertised ratings. The construction is of low quality and subject to bend or distort due to the lack of strong enough materials (cheap steel). The Yellow paint job is quite good although the labels are misleading. The product is totally CHINEESE and has NOTHING To do with the United States of America. One is mislead by the labels into thinking this is of USA Design and quality...It is NOT!!! The wheel housings are very thin steel and will bend if you brace your foot on them while pulling the starter rope on the motor (leaving you with wobbly wheels, just cheap poor design) . The motor did run well and does power the unit but at almost 2000 PSI LESS than rated. Overall works and will do some jobs but NOT 4700 PSI as I expected...more 2800 to 3200 PSI. The Chinese products seem to over rate their products in order to sell them using all sorts of false claims. I also feel the 8 HP rating on the motor should be more like 5HP. Buy at your own risk, this product is sold under at least 4 different brand names (Jet is one) and is the same basic product all out of China. Last the wheel placement on the cart require you to carry the full weight of the unit when wheeling it about...the wheels should be on the other side so you push down to roll along not lift up. Review after first use
Unpacking and assembly was relatively straight forward, although I would recommend a 'getting started pamphlet' or youtube link for plumbing venting and starting, and not assume every purchaser has the mechanical aptitude of a tradesman. I was quoted $490 and $495 to jet my sewer to clear a blockage. I accomplished that with this unit, so I consider it has paid for itself and therefore good value. Whether I recommend it, or it is of good quality depends on the life of the pump and if it can be cost effectively reconditioned. I was disappointed that the advertised 30M hose reach was 3 joined hoses not pictured,15m x1/2, 10m x 1/4, and 5m x 3/8, as the jetter nozzle would not pull the heavier hose through the sewer bends.
