Rear tyre silent and predictable
Just done 300+ km with the Anakee 3, which replaced a battlax 023. This tyre comes through as hugely silent in the dry (despite other reviews to the contrary - almost changed my mind but luckily didn't) or wet and quite predictable. It is single compound and as claimed the tread pattern seams to shed mud and displace water surprisingly efficiently. Rear wheel lock up in the dry is silent and felt like it occurred sooner than the battlax, but then the battlax was quite worn on the soft compound edges and offered more footprint because of that. The ride is certainly more refined and gentle without loss of handling. My front tyre is a recently replaced metzler which is just as silent. Awesome combination for my Honda RC42 - CB750F2 nighthawk 1993. I will be repeating these purchases soon to store in a controlled environment for future replacements, lest they disappear from the market. I am expecting the Anakee3 to last twice the distance, in my 98/2 Highway/off road usage, as the battlax did.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
