The Bell and Howell 1176 Taclight is a high-powered tactical flashlight. The flashlight is manufactured from high-grade air-craft aluminum. It is water-proof, shock resistant and can withstand very high or very low temperatures. The Taclight features 5 modes including low beam, medium beam and high beam. Pretty good, not great
I have had this for about a month now. The light is very white, has a good, clear, circular pattern at about 10 yards. Beyond that, it is still pretty good, not searchlight quality, like the commercial implies, but, useful for such a small flashlight. It seems well-contructed and durable, although I haven't dropped it from the roof or boiled or frozen it, and, don't plan on it. The cons I have seen: 1) When I turn it on, sometimes, it is on the strobe setting. I then have to cycle through the Morse code setting to get to plain old flashlight. That is irritating when you just want to light up an area. 2) At the most concentrated setting, the circular beam turns into a square pattern. Not sure why this is; doesn't make sense. 3) As others have noted, the slide focus is rather easy to accidentally slide from wide beam to narrow. Not much of a problem for normal, walking the dog at night use but, a little irritating. Overall, I have no major problems with this. It is small, tough, and gives bright light. I have seen better, but, at 3 times the price. I would recommend it but, shop around first; there may be some at this price point that are just as bright without the negatives.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Battery Charger Defective
One of the two battery chargers lasted through one charge. I charged the flashlights for their initial charge to take on a fishing trip with no issues. Upon returning from the trip I placed the batteries back into the chargers for re-charging. One of the chargers did not have a green/red blinking light when it was plugged back into the outlet and did not re-charge the battery. Having planned on going back fishing the next night I had to re-charge both batteries on a single charger. The re-charge process takes a long time and only one battery received a full charge before leaving.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bell & Howell TacLight Flashlight
I saw this on a as seen on TV commercial. I purchased it, and boy I was suprised by the clarity that this bright light brought. I could see everything just like daylight. I can tell you that this Bell + Howell TacLight is solidly made, yet very compact, fitting easily in my hand. It has a little wrist loop so that you can carry it around. The on/off button is located on the base of the light. This button can be pressed halfway down to change the modes. To zoom in/out, you simply push out/pull in the head of the flashlight. I like the zoom feature . As for giving a review on the durability - I don't know that I can do that until I have used it for awhile. Bell + Howell flashlight
I bought this light and another light that looks like it except the second light has an orange button to turn it on. The Bell and Howell isn't as bright. It has no off between the different functions. So when you turn it off, you have to step through all the functions to turn it off. The one with the orange button on the end turns off with one push. Sorry, but neither has a brand on it. The none Bell + Howell unit is a lot brighter. I changed batteries to make sure they both had the same power. Find the light with the orange button on the end and you have a brighter light than the Bell + Howell.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I already owned the Bell and Howell Tactical flashlight as described in this sales wright up. The flashlights I received are not Bell and Howell! The only marking is the number 002. The LED used in this light is about 1/2 the diameter of the LED in the real Bell and Howell and the beam from this knock off is of course about half as bright. Very disappointing! They did not even put a white reflector around the LED. There is no "O" ring on the lens cap but it does have a "O" ring installed on the battery/switch end of the light. NOT good for wet weather! The Ultrafire brand batteries shown in the add are not what it came with. They brag about how heavy their batteries are. The weight of the supplied battery is 20 grams as compared to my Sanyo 3350 mAh battery that weights 40 grams. The battery supplied says 5800mAh.........with flashlight on high power, the supplied battery went from 4.2 volts full charge down to 3.1 volts in only 35 minutes, the true capacity of this battery is probably less than 1000mAh! This is not a protected cell so the average user will destroy this cell very quickly. The charger supplied works fine, full charge cut off at 4.2 volts. Bottom line......buyer beware of _____!.

Ultrafire T6 Tactical Flashlight
I'm impressed with this little light. I got one for myself and the lady. The throw on this light is very impressive, as well as the brightness. I let my 10 year old son play with it and it held up very well. He also got right around an hour or so of battery life out of it, which he had it on the highest setting there is for it the whole time. It's by far the brightest light I have ever own. Great little flashlight
I’d seen the infomercials on this and the price on eBay drew me in. I purchased three, one for me and two for gifts. These are great flashlights, very bright, lightweight and appear to be durable; time will tell. On the other hand, they were not packaged well. The box was completely open. What little tape used to seal it was gone, no bubble wrap or other packing inside, just three little boxes containing a flashlight each, all thrown into one big box. I’m surprised none fell out. The box was way bigger than needed for those three little items,especially with no bubble wrap. The good thing is all were inside and when tested,they all worked.
