An AC/DC concert, Sydney, 1991. At the front of the mosh pit are five devoted AC/DC fans having the time of their lives: Sonny (Damon Gameau-The Tracker), Ben (Stephen Curry-The Castle), Lloyd (Ryan Johnson-The Wannabes), Sam (Callan Mulvey-Heartbreak High) and Ronnie (Sam Worthington-Gettin' Square). They make a pact that, if any one of them should die, the others will bury him next to their idol, late Bon Scott.Twelve years pass. The boys have drifted in different directions, none of them completely adjusted to the disappointment of adult life, when a bolt of lightning - a tragic echo of the last song they heard together at the AC/DC concert - changes everything. They decide to honour the pledge they once made to each other and take their dead friend to Bon Scott's final resting place.As these once-close friends begin their quest, travelling across the country with the stolen remains of their mate to fulfil a promise they made to each other many years earlier, they have many obstacles to overcome.

One of the best Ozzie movies yet - friendship and loyalty win out
This is about five friends who make a pact, then 13 years later that pact needs to be honoured in memory of one of them. They set out on a trip across the Nullabour to disperse the ashes of their mate. Their actions are at first perceived as selfish and thoughtless but as we share their adventures, we share in the honour of their deed. It becomes infectious and the final scenes attest to that. It is good comedy and the acting is impeccable. One of the stars is Rachael Gordon as Molly - she plays it close to the edge of over the top but still retains some reality. The boys are the real stars though, each with their own personalities and these develop as the movie progresses. Need a lift, then by all means watch the movie.
