Zodiac MX8 Pool Cleaner
This is the best cleaner we've ever had for our in-ground pool. Our previous cleaner was a Barracuda suction cleaner and for us it was nothing but problem after problem. With the Zodiac MX8 it was very easy to setup and install and it has worked beautifully ever since. It reaches every area of our pool including the tile at the water level. The only area it does not do is the stairs, but that is a small price to pay overall. Does not climb walls of tiled pool
I can't get this product to climb the walls of my tiled pool despite making the adjustments suggested by the support team. The first question I was asked when I called for support was whether my pool bottom was sloped. So it seems like perhaps this product was made for sloped pools, and not pools with straight sides. While product seems well made, it did not perform as advertised and not as expected. It spends a lot of time at the walls trying to climb the wall, but failing to do so. Great Pool Cleaner
I have had a couple different suction pool cleaners. When I bought the house the pool had a barracuda G3 and it worked ok but would get stuck from time to time. I bought a G3 knockoff and it was terrible. So I decided to spend the extra money and get the MX8 and it has been worth it. It works great at all my pump speeds so there is no need to change the regular variable pump schedule plus it gets to areas that would build up that the other cleaner would not get. Zodiac Baracuda MX8
I've only had this cleaner a few days, so it's too early to give it a full rating. It seems to be working and cleaning OK. I did add the new vanes with the cleaner brush on them. That did make a small difference. The MX8 does what I feel is a lot of unnecessary twisting and turning. It does clean the sides of the pool and doesn't seem to get stuck. My one concern is because of all the internal and external moving parts, it may end up being high maintenance, time will tell. Definitely worth the cost compared to cleaning the pool by hand!
I bought this product to replace my old one which was the exact same item. I had been able to do repairs on my previous one by watching you tube videos. Awesome cleaner!
Not only cleans the walls and complete pool, but is fun to watch it work. Didn't think it could climb all the way to the coping but it does. The main thing is to get the flow adjusted correctly. Comes with all the necessary pieces to make the adjustments and is not difficult to do. So much faster and better than the Polaris 140 we have used for years. Best Pool Vac Ever
We struggled to find a pool vac that did what it promised. We tried a couple of the kreepy krauly ones but they never seemed to keep the pool clean. The issue we have is that our pool has a 8' deep end and those krauly cleaners spend 99% of their time cleaning the deep end. They never make up to the shallow side of the pool and it kept getting dirty. After much research and review I found this vac and I'm glad I spent the money. Because the wheels are track driven and on gears, this cleaner gets your entire pool. It crauls up the sides and scrubs the tiles too. The only areas it doesn't reach are the steps. It won't do steps because the weight that is mounted on top of the unit keeps it from going sideways and then up onto the steps. It crawls up the sides of the steps but never does the steps themselves. No big deal, we just brush the dirt from the steps down and the vac gets it. I've got a 28,000 gallon pool and this keeps it perfectly clean along the bottom. I would recommend the leaf catcher that goes to this cleaner. It was about $70 but well worth it. It looks like a tornado as it collects the leaves and debris. Easy to detach in the water and clean out. We've only had a couple occasions where the vac got stuck on palm leaves. The long ones get wound up in the cleaning gears but removing is simple. Pop the lid and pull them out. Best vac ever and when coupled with the tornado leaf catcher it not only keeps the pool clean but provides entertainment watching the vac go all over the pool.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

GREAT BUY
This pool cleaner is doing what my other two cleaners didn't do ,clean the pool. I have had my in ground pool for fifteen years and thought that this is just the way they cleaned it,WRONG! This pool cleaner goes all the way up to the tile and down and around .When I purchased my second one it still did not do what it needed to do. I brought it in to the local neighborhood pool supply and they said I needed a rebuild kit. B,S, So I put one in and still the same GARBAGE. Oh .yeah it moved around a bit better but never to the top like zodiac. I have had this cleaner for a month now and cannot stop raving about it. I do not have to brush the walls as much or clean.
