Stands up to heat and pressure.
I used this thread repair on a high pressure hydraulic line. The threads were on a hollow bolt that allows fluid to pass through, while securing the line coming out of the transmission housing on a Kubota B20 tractor with Front end loader and backhoe. The bolt is about 1” in diameter, and under pressure from hydraulics. I was skeptical, but my only other option was to drill all the threads out and install an insert with threads on inside and outside. Like a Helicoil, but heavier duty. I figured I would end up going that route no matter what. Much to my happy surprise, this product worked as promised. I did clean and remove all oil before I used it. Works great under pressure and fairly high heat, as expected on a hard working transmission. I recommend!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Permanent Place in the Garage for this Product.
Although unable to follow the instructions fully (due to the internal location in the crankcase of the damaged thread in a through hole) I was able to create enough thread to enable the bolt to make a firm hold thus achieving my aim. I can but imagine how good the thread would have been if I had been able to follow the instructions to the letter and tape one end of the thread hole. Don’t buy this. It is a waste of money.
