Do you want all your games and accessories to be redundant, ? Think about buy a used Wii or Wii U. 90% of accessories of the Wii will work with the Wii U., You can buy a whole used set or you could buy for instance, a black gamepad as a spare for your Wii U whether it is white or black,. Used solo gamepads tend to be dearer than the solo consoles so I suggest buying a black one and then save up for the black more memoried consoles all the gear that came with your earlier Wii U will work. The Wii has really come down in used prices. The console alone especially with missing flaps. You can buy new white or black flaps. If you see a red Wii with a missing flap you could cover the console with a skin that looks good with a black or white flap,. Some of the Wii's have a flap that lifts to reveal sockets for the joysticks of the Nintendo Gamecube and the smaller discs will work in the disc player of the Wii. You'll just need a small memory card suitable for Gamecube to slot in.too, Wii and Gamecube games are coming down in used prices. The Wii U has games brought out for it which do not work in the Wii but any Wii games you have work in the Wii U. I now have two Wii U and two or three Wii sets. I think a solo Wii U gamepad and a solo Wii U console as total spares mean they will see me out as I am nearly 70 years young. You can go on Youtube and find out how to get a Nintendo special number to replace the previous owner's secret number . If you need to do this remember Nintendo change their special numbers every 24 hours so don't start doing this just before midnight. It is very easy to do. Lots of sellers who Tv screens with images proving the consoles are working but I always worry if I might be sold a duck or dud but that is what feedback is for. Don't leave good feedback until you have tried the console - if your console isn't ok then you know what to do and you can check out the feedbacks of your sellers. Have a good time Read full review

I primarily bought the Wii U to use it for keep fit, I'm quite bulky and I am fed up with Gyms, treadmills etc. This console was built for this and I have never had so much fun working out, it keeps me motivated with the high quality graphics and sound, the hand held controller is idea for playing a game of Super Mario 8 with the earphones in. Would recommend.

Vast library of great Wii U and Wii games. Easy software aftermarket modifications for homebrew and Gamecube compatibility. Paired up with a USB-Gamecube adapter, this can play pretty much every Nintendo game released before the Switch.

Amazing little console, and amazingly fun to play. Great range of pick up and play games, child-friendly (something Xbox and Playstation don't really accommodate for), certainly a worthwhile purchase.
