The Corsair and the Kingston gave me 8GBs
Emachines of the same model seem to have different characteristics, so I had to do a lot of experimenting and some research so I'm not blaming the memory upgrade. But I had to experiment a lot after another brand and this brand did not work when I installed both brands. But then I started mixing these getting 6 GBs with one of the 4GBs and one of the originals which was 2GBs or installing only 1 in a slot which also worked just fine. Just couldn't get 8GBs But today I decided to try one Kingston and one Corsair both of 4 GBs each. And this last decision gave me the 8GBs that I was looking for. Despite the 2 different brands, I'm really pleased since other people have found compatibility problems. So it looks like an experimentation thing with these computers.

Worked right out of the box. Have to install together (first and second slots) on my AUSA board, then the existing four gig. More consistent speed
