Great Product/OEM Quality
Brp has great parts with equal or better than original factory parts. Be sure when ordering any parts for you outboard to look up online for a cross reference of part #s, b/c alot of the time on outboards 10 or more years old, the original part# is obsolete and has a new #, as was the case on my 97 Johnson Fast Strike 115 for my water pump kit. The number on OMC parts catalog was now an obsolete part#, so all u have to do is type cross reference and the original part # on google(ect.), and you will find the current #. Not a match for 85 hp Johnson
Absolutely nothing in this kit matched my 85 hp Johnson outboard. Everything in the auction suggested that it was for my motor. The water pump outlet, the base plate, the mounting slot for the impeller, the gaskets, etc. were all different. The shaft size and the base plate shape (mine had a bypass hole so I could have drilled a few holes to use it) are the same. Great OEM Kit
Highly recommend the kit, if your engine has a good amount of age on the pump the kit is a safer bet. It included all the correct parts for my 88 GT150 Johnson, even included the moly grease for the top of driveshaft.
