Love this blade. I bought one in addition to my Endura 4. Pros - light, no internal metal guides to weigh it down, yet still super sturdy - has never rusted on me - perfect knife for carry and use with food etc as it's easy to wash and not worry about drying etc. - excellent blade length and profile. A little more drop-point that the Endura - PERFECT camping/hiking knife due to weight and rust resistance. Cons - Edge retention isn't great, but it isn't terrible. If you have a Worksharp Ken Onion like me it's fine - just touch it up on the white/fine belt every 2-3 weeks and it's shaving sharp, brand new. - H1 is reported to be hard to sharpen, which may be true when it comes to some sharpeners, but I've had no issue with it. - I find the H1 steel harder to s Recommend? YES H1 is reported to be hard to sharpen, which may be true when it comes to some sharpeners, but I've had no issue with it. I love this knife because I don't ever have to worry about it rusting. I've taken it snorkeling three times and while I've given it a good wash like any tool after the dive, it's never rusted on me. I have to say, so long as you have a fail-proof method to sharpen it (strongly recommend the excellent albeit expensive Worksharp Ken Onion), you'll love this blade. That said, I love the Endura 4 (Vg10) as well, but I would not leave it out overnight in the dew and DEFINITELY wouldn't take it into the ocean. Both knives are excellent.Read full review
