    Quirky British doctor sets up practice in an eccentric seaside town full of memorable characters.

    Great characters, wonderful scripts, very entertaining in a slow-paced, very picturesque environment. The backdrop of the hilly town on the sea, with old stone houses and seaside cliffs, add to the pleasure of the experience. If you liked Northern Exposure you will love this. Enjoy!

    Movie was different

    Loved them all. The movie was not as I expected. It was still Doc Martin, but not the same story line and characters. Still would have bought it though as part of a pacakage out of curiosity. Can't remember if it was the first movie or the second movie that should have been rated as X because of a sex xcene which did not need to be totally explicit. Glad they changed his story line for the series. It is a much better story line.

    I really like the Doc Martin series as Martin Clunes brings this character to life in the most hilarious way. A surgeon from London who begins having a blood phobia and decides a small town might be the perfect get away until he meets the local towns people. Then it goes downhill in a most surprising way. This series has quirky characters, comedy, drama, and the town is beautiful, secluded. Anyone who watch's comedies or medical shows are sure to find Doc Martin very refreshing.
