  • Humorous with great characters

It's British humour, which means less canned laughter and more expectation that the viewer decides what's funny. The characters fit what you might imagine a badly run TV news studio looks like on the inside. Huge egos, meaningless management-speak, ineffective management, characters with poor ethics and non-politically correct attitudes. But it's presented in way that you can't help laughing at. I'm so glad that I found the whole series and reminded myself what the 80s and 90s was like.

  • Well worth it.

A knowledge of political and social events, British politicians, personalities and celebrities around during the time when this was current (the 90's) would help to fully appreciate this show but not essential for it to be enjoyable by any means. Not a great classic of British comedy but close. Highly recommended.

  • I do not "get" the title, but perhaps it is a shot at the real news businesses.

Even though old, it is still very funny.
