  • Impressive and well priced rotary speaker simulator for guitar.

I was looking for a Leslie simulator for guitar and this does the job very well. It is small enough to fit on a pedal board and also, unlike some rotary speaker sims. sounds good in mono as well but of course great in stereo. I also like being able to preset the rotary speed for fast and slow so using an expression pedal isn't essential..

  • The Lester G Deluxe delivers deluxe bang for the buck.

I listened to every demo on the internet of rotary speaker pedals and I thought the Lester G sounded the best to me. Now that I am using it, I am happy with the choice. It sounds good in mono, but running it in stereo, it sounds so authentic. I have had Leslie 147's, 122, and MotionSound passive and powered rotary speakers systems over the years. This pedal does a great job creating that unique sound. With the overdrive control, you can dial in some great tones, like Stephen Stills intro on Woodstock, or It Don't Come Easy by Ringo Starr, and Drift Away by Dobie Grey. Don't forget Badge by Cream.

  • My new favorite pedal

I bought this initially to compliment the EHX C9 organ pedal. Yet, as a stand alone pedal for my guitar it does a number of things and could replace other pedals. With an expression pedal the Lester allows a user to produce tremelo, chorus as well as the the Leslie tones all with variable tempo, on the fly, as one plays. This pedal also has a built in compression which contributes to my already substantial sustain. As an added bonus the drive function supplies another overdrive voice that I think I prefer over all the other gain stages available on my pedal board and from my amp. Well done Electro-Harmonix... I only wish I had purchased this pedal years ago.

  • ROTARY SPEAKER GOOD NOT HAVING ROTARY SPEAKER BAD...

I plugged it in to a small JC-22 and set all the dials to 12 o'clock and turned up the volume. Just as it was out of the box with all the settings at noon I played :"TEN YEAR'S GONE" ALL THE WAY THROUGH ALONG WITH SOME OTHER PHYSICAL GRAPHITTI STUFF....:"DOWN BY THE SEASIDE " ETC. AND I ALMOST CRIED. BY FAR THE BEST EFFECT FOR THE MONEY I'VE BOUGHT IN YEARS .THE ONLY OTHER IMPRESIVE PEDAL FOR ME RIGHT NOW WOULD BE THE MIMIQ.

  • About Lester G

Electro Harmonix - Super! Sound - Super! Color - Ok! No true bypass - bad. Problem - in low-midle (digital sound - resonans 200-600Hz).( Neo Instruments Ventilator mini - no problem). Thanks Electo Harmonix !!!!!!!!

  • Closest yet to the real thing for guitar.

I love the sound of a guitar through a Leslie (Badge, It Don’t Come Easy, Something, etc.) There are innumerable pedals that claim to emulate the sound. Most can provide a reasonable facsimile of the fast speed, but it’s the SLOW (chorale) speed that has eluded designers. Almost all previous efforts sounded like a lame chorus, phaser, tremolo, vibrato or some weak combination of two or more of those effects. This is the first pedal I’ve tried that nails the slow sound almost perfectly. When plugged into a stereo amp, or two amps, or even direct through a mixer, I could swear I was standing in front of a good old brown box. Playing the Badge riff, it’s spot on. I think it sounds best with the compressor on, a little drive and the balance right in the middle. Congrats to EH for doing what I thought was impossible.

  • Sounds great!

Awesome realistic rotary speaker sound. I even use it on our keyboard to enhance the sound!

  • Close To The Real Thing

Having owned an actual Leslie, I can tell you this is about as close as you can get. Controls give you great (and usable) tonal options.

  • quality product, well built.

Like all EHX products this pedal does what it's supposed to do, and is built like a tank.
