KBS Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer is a superior, single-component, ready-to-use fuel tank sealer. Gold Standard is specifically formulated to stop rust and corrosion by forming a tough, fuel impervious coating while simultaneously sealing small pinholes and weld seams.

Product Information

Completely close pinholes in your tank with this KBS repair kit. This fuel tank sealer will treat tanks with a volume of 100L. The kit includes 1L of environmentally safe RustBlast, 1L of non-flammable Gold Standard sealer, and 4L of AquaKlean, which should all be applied in accordance with the instructions to protect your tank with a permanent coating.

KBS Auto car fuel tank sealer
Had a leaking long range tank in my Landcruiser for years and after getting it repaired numerous times it still leaked so I tried the KBS sealer kit. It cleaned all the rust from the tank first and sealed it up leaving a smooth polyurethane finish. what was left over after draining the tank I used to coat the outside. Great finish, no more leaks and a now a surface that wont rust. Brilliant Chris D.

Great product.
I’ve used it in two fuel tanks with great success. Follow the instructions and preferably strap your tank to a cement mixer with some aggregate and a couple of litres of water for an hour to get rid of flaking rust before treating the tank. I’d recommend using the cleaner for a full 24 hours and the rust converter for the maximum recommended time. Don’t take short cuts. The sealant looks good and has good adhesion.

Excellent product that really works
This product does exactly what it claims but you need time and patience to achieve the best results. I followed the directions carefully but also allowed the cleaner and rust blaster longer than recommended to work as my petrol tank was VERY rusty. The extra time I took really paid off! Using a pressure cleaner also came in handy for flushing the built up crud and rust out. The inside of the tank is perfect now. Take extra time to get the inside of the tank bone dry after using the rust blaster and before putting the sealer in. It takes several hours, and preferably overnight to ensure the tank is perfectly dry inside after removing the rust. It is a time consuming exercise but I highly recommend this product. Much cheaper than buying a new fuel tank even if you can get one!

After finding my fuel pump was blocked with rust scale, I removed the tank, washed it out and Purchased a KBS sealer kit. I followed the instructions to the letter, My vehicle was Off the road for five days, But I now have a tank that is clean, and my engine performance has returned to normal.
