Great competitor to md421
Great microphone. Has a little bit of hype to it, so it shouldn't be considered perfectly flat or perfectly smooth. However, I like it a lot on toms / kick and I think it is solidly designed. I am a fan of md421 as well. This mic competes within the same domain as the 421, which is saying a lot. On toms, it is slightly smoother than the 421... which is better is purely a matter of taste.
