Have not been able to set SWR on and any band. Have mounted the antenna on 2 vehicles neither installation worked. According to my antenna analyzer the SWR on any band is above a 5 some as high as 12. No, not happy !

Very narrow banded. Will not tune on more than 50KHz of space on 80m, even with a tuner. On the plus side it is very well made, and the concept is sound.

I have had this antenna for a few years, but only used it a few times. It works as expected, considering it is a TINY antenna for most of the bands it is made for. I recently took it on a road trip and tried to use a 40 meter digital mode, but the radio balked, and flashed a "High SWR" message. Using an analyzer, the highest frequency I could tune it to was around 6.8 MHz.. I used a short piece of brass rod in place of the tip that came with the antenna, and was able to tune the antenna to 7.080. My conclusions: The antenna seems pretty sturdy. It is very narrow banded. The tuning instructions may be way off, at least for my antenna mount. The NanoVNA was the tool that allowed me to set this antenna, I would never have been able to set it using the radio, as it was far out of band.Read full review
