Ventura bolt on rear bike carrier

I used every piece that came in the kit. Had trouble mounting rear lower contact point of carrier no clamp/mount for this. So I made clamps / clips from some plumbing scraps of copper. Then a little gloss black paint to hide the color of the copper, and touch up other bolts etc. So far it's holding up real well. Very happy with design and light metal rod in it's manufacturing.

  • Top critical review

    Poor welding

Certainly cheaper than most racks, but you get what you pay for. First, it's a little wider and heavier than I expected. Second, it came bent wrong for the eyelets to line up, so I had to both supports down to line up right. Third, when I did that one of the welds snapped apart and I had to tape and zip tie it because I'm not very knowledgeable about welding and poorly equipped to do any. It'll probably hold any weight though.

  • Needs a Bit of Engineering to c

Sturdy seatpost bracket, very adjustable, and fastens securely, but the bar that screws to the derailleur is too short for a womans bike. I don't think it could have been mounted on a smaller frame. It would have been so easy to find the correct fit if the bar that fits in the tube was the same length as the tube. As it was, I had to find a piece of aluminum bar to extend each piece. The construction is sturdy, good welds, etc, and plenty of screws included to mount to the bike.

  • Flimsy Piece Of Junk

Flimsy piece of JUNK. Thin metal, weak welds, and clumsy attachments. Spend a few bucks more, and buy a decent piece of equipment. The Sunlite rack I bought at the local bike store cost twice as much, but it is easily ten times better. Seen the same Sunlite rack on eBay for less money, but they were out-of-stock.

  • VECA It is good

The bike rack is easy to assemble. The holes are for the small size. I did some extra work to make it work. The initial setup is good; however, overtime, expect to replace or repair. It is sturdy and strong after installation.

  • Nice rack

I now own two ! for the 2 bikes with engines , it is easy to install with enough hardware to mount the front in different ways . I like this for the large rear light mount , it allows for an extra large light which is better for the night rides .It also is easy to attach my saddle bags too or the spring clamp works when I ride with out the bags . The first one I bought 4 years ago and it still looks new after 3000 + miles , That includes winter riding . Great Quality !!

  • It's good for the price

First of all, it did not come with any screws or nuts. I know the descriptions do not mention the hardware but the photo shows a few hardware, and I was hoping they would come with the product. Luckily, I have a random collection of screws and nuts. It took some trial and errors and some bending, but it turned very well. It's very sturdy. I strapped a dog kennel on it to carry my dog around. I am pretty pleased. It's the cheapest I found anywhere and it actually works with my vantage cruiserish bike. Most other racks I looked at would not have worked. Like other reviewers said, this is for someone who doesn't minder tinkering with it a bit to make it work.

  • Not so easy

If you're looking for an easy product to install this may not be for you, it took me 30 minutes to install there are no instructions only diagrams which are not easy to see. And the measurements could be a little wrong. the final product came out good but this is not for the faint of heart who are easily frustrated.

  • Re constuct this Bike rack

It was easy to install.1. Had to bend side bars an inch to reach top rack 2.I had to redril l some new holes on top rack to attach rack bars that go to bike frame.3.Had to make some extensions to rack bars to bolt to frame.

  • Can definitely hold 100+ pounds

This rack surprised me with its weight... it’s very light I thought to myself no way this can hold 50 pounds let alone 120 pounds. Oh WOW after it’s installed, by the way it’s a pain to install but it was all worth it in the end I love it. After it’s installed it can easily hold 100 pounds. I think it can push 150+. I current have 3 duracell LEAd Acid batteries on it which weighs about 40-50 pounds and it’s no problem for it.
