I needed a simple solution to extending my home wifi out to a shed. As the shed is on the same electrical circuit as the house, the Netgear PLW1000 uses the electrical wiring between the buildings. This links the sending unit connected to my router and plugged into a power outlet in the house to a receiving unit plugged into a power outlet in the shed. The receiving unit has it's own wifi transmitter which provided a full strength signal in the shed. Literally plug and play. Easy and quick to install and works as intended.
