This is excellent quality and small size. Delivery was super fast too. I found it easy to install apart from needing a bit of help with fitting the Co-ax cable plug to the cable. Expected more from Uniden
I have always bought Uniden UHF products with no issues until this particular model. The CAT 8 connectors that are used to connect the hand piece to the UHF unit are very delicate, and as a result they move around a lot when the cable is moved. Picking up the hand piece to talk while driving moves the connector and breaks up the transmission. I could hear incoming messages but I could not transmit any replies. I also found the buttons on the interface very sensitive, which meant they were prone to accidental channel changing etc (especially as there is no keypad lock function on this radio)! It is a great space saver but at a cost of dodgy connectors. I am going to stick with my bigger but much more reliable Uniden UH5040.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good choice
The amazing small size of this unit belies it power and versatility. It can be fitted in such tiny spaces and performs real well. I glued the bracket to the inside of the fuse cover in my Ranger and it fitted with plenty of clearance. Drove across to Melbourne recently and was able to keep in contact with vehicles around me no problem. squelch and all controls are easily readable and useable. Only "problem" I found is nowhere does it list what impedance extension speaker could be used!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
