Bought this as a quick cheap back up, to my suprise, it measures very accurate and matches my expensive few hundred dollar digital vernier caliper. But it is much heavier. Overall great back up cheapie.

These are a good knockabout everyday vernier but they do look and feel cheap, which they are. They seem to get repeatable readings most of the time, but I wouldn't rely on them for measuring fine tolerance narrow spec pieces. They have made them so that they turn on as soon as they are moved, and for some reason the OFF button on mine has to be pressed twice to turn it off, and if bumped, it turns back on.

This was not an expensive caliper so I wasn’t expecting the world but it does the job. While I have no way of verifying its accuracy down to 1/100 of a millimetre, the results appear to be repeatable and they are close enough for me. The thumb-wheel is a bit sloppy, making it hard to get a smooth movement. You need to make sure you put some dry-lube on the moving parts to allow a better action. For the price, I’m happy with the caliper.

arrived with both batteries flat and corrosion in battery compartment, easy enough to clean up and a new battery and away it went, accuracy is suitable for hobby work but not for precision machining so for the price they are good enough

While lacking the 'smoothness' of a model costing 10x more, this little unit is more than sufficient for my purposes... Occasional precision measurement. The battery in the unit was DOA but the supplier thoughtfully included a replacement. Overall, extremely good value.
