Good value for Money
The product bears the Motorola logo but the useable charge time of perhaps one day makes me doubt that it is in fact a genuine Motorola original equipment standard.. A bit difficult to tell as although not a 'heavy' mobile phone user maybe I use it more than previously. It certainly does seem to prevent voice drop out compared with the original battery (over 3 years old).. Looking at various reviews for sellers of the GK40 battery online it seems even batteries three times the price of this one had adverse comments about charge life and whether genuine Considering that my phone is over 3 years old it is a good value purchase as I do not want or need a newer phone and definitely not one made in China. In addition the non Chinese smart phones I have looked at have non replaceable batteries so if it keeps me going for only another year it is good value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

GK40 replacement battery
It does the job, but a full charge only lasts a day or so dependent on usage. Charged and ran it out 3 times, (as is the usual recommendation for all electronic batteries) but no real difference. Not a genuine battery despite the picture
My 3 year old Motorola phone battery was needing re-charged more frequently despite disabling some apps, not using Bluetooth etc. I bought this as a replacement battery and the photograph shows a Motorola battery but the one supplied is not a genuine battery despite the photo and needs recharging just as frequently as my 3 year old original so no gain.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap battery with less-than-expected charge capacity
Product was an identical replacement physically for the battery that came with my Motorola G5 phone. I had to replace the original battery, as it had started becoming a little fatter due to the build-up of gas, which was pushing the back off the phone. However, the new battery drained significantly quicker than the old battery. It was made by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited in China. The old battery had the characters DC20171011 and the new DC20170220 - could these be dates?Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Motorola GK40 Replacement Battery.
Thank you for the opportunity to review my recent purchase of a replacement battery for my mobile telephone. I am not really sure what one can usefully say about a battery! The original one was failing and I needed a replacement. It is not something like a motor car or a watch, for example, about which one might wax lyrical over the many features and benefits accruing from the purchase. A battery is a battery, is it not? This one fitted my 'phone perfectly (it would have been surprising had it not) and it has usefully extended both the standby time and service life of the instrument. At the price, it also struck me as being very reasonable. Crucially, It has thus far met all of my expectations. On that basis, I believe that this product represents good value for money and can be bought with confidence. Useless GK40 battery
I fitted this genuine GK40 to my phone and it showed a pre- charge of 72%. I then put it on charge to 97%. However at around the 50% mark the phone closed down. After recharging the battery the same thing happened. Fortunately I had kept the old battery so returned it to the phone with no issues ! Seems to me the “new” battery is only charging to 50% but it’s internal resistance is causing the phone to show incorrect charge. It may be a unused new battery but passed its use by date. BEWARE

Power in your hands
My old battery was not holding charge very long - so I popped in the new one and now get 2 days + usage between charges. Very easy to change my old one and the price was lower than I expected.
