I have used this on my inexpensive folding bike and does a far better job with stopping performance than what came with the bike. If you're picky about having the best then you obviously know what to get but if your searching for the best bang for the buck with other brands with performance and safety in mind then this does a great job.
Edit: one week in. these do not hold up on long hilly rides. There is no modulation. They fade out. The rear will lock up while the front just fades out. After a day in the woods I can see noticeable wear. These are better suited for casual riders. I would not count on these to stop on a serious ride.
I wasn’t expecting much from these based on the price. When they arrived I expected even less because of their size. But after a ride around the block they were broken in and have done well since. I can say this for certain, they are far superior to the rim brakes from big box stores. If they last more than a few months I will be ordering more of them.
These Are the "BEST' but, But, BUT...! They Would bee Better if They had the Tri-Colour, Tri-Compound Pads that One used to get...! Also Making the Spacers and Locking Nut Jet Black instead of Chrome Colour would bee a Plus...! I have a Set(4) of the 55mm from Cantilever Brakes and cannot find Shoes with Threaded Post to use those Tri-Colour/Compound Pads with...! They used to have Everything, Maybee They bee going "Out of Business"...!
The Pic shows what They Used to Have...!
