  • Preparing for your oral?

Buy this book. Nothing more needs to be said. This is the de facto book that if you study, will help you pass your orals! Passing the FAA written test is a milestone, but you can practice on a myriad of sites, and even get all of the relevant questions to memorize. But that won't help you when you have a DPE, in your face, looking for any sign of uncertainty! Well, get this book as it not only gives you the answers, but helps explain where to find it in the FAR/AIM and why it is the right answer. Obviously DPE's know about this book, and you will have several of the questions straight out of this book - as it's that good! So don't just know the answer, understand why it's the answer. And get plenty of rest the night before. Yes, I know it's hard when you have to plan your cross country and do a last minute weather check, but remember IMSAFE and particularly that F - Fatigue. Go to bed early, get ready for your grilling oral and best of luck on your checkride!
